1. Introduction

Pixelle is a global creative project that transforms submitted photographs into collaborative artworks celebrating girls and women in sport. By participating in Pixelle, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting any content.

2. Eligibility

Participation in Pixelle is open to individuals of all ages. If you are under the age of majority in your country or region, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate and submit content.

3. Participation & Submission

By submitting a photograph or related content (“Submission”), you confirm that:

  • You own the rights to the image, or have permission from the rights holder to submit it
  • The image was provided voluntarily
  • The content does not infringe on the rights of any third party

You understand that your Submission may be used as part of a collaborative Pixelle artwork.

4. Use of Submitted Content

By participating in Pixelle, you grant Pixelle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute your Submission for the purposes of:

  • Creating Pixelle collaborative artworks and portraits
  • Displaying artworks in digital and physical formats
  • Promoting and communicating the Pixelle project
  • Marketing and promotional activities related to Pixelle and its mission — including social media content, website content, press and media features, presentations and exhibitions, promotional campaigns and fundraising materials, and partner and sponsor communications

5. Collective Artwork

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Individual images become part of a larger collective work
  • Your Submission may not always be individually credited in the final artwork
  • The final artwork represents a collective expression and not an individual portrait

6. Personal Information

Pixelle may collect limited personal information (such as name, email address, or story submissions) for participation and communication purposes. We will handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Personal data will not be sold to third parties.

7. Content Guidelines

By participating, you agree not to submit content that is:

  • Illegal, harmful, or defamatory
  • Infringing on intellectual property rights
  • Offensive, discriminatory, or abusive
  • In violation of privacy or publicity rights of others

Pixelle reserves the right to remove or refuse any submission at its discretion.

8. Rights & Ownership

You retain ownership of your original photograph. Pixelle does not claim ownership of your original submission but is granted the rights described in these Terms for the purpose of creating and sharing collective artworks.

9. No Compensation

Participation in Pixelle is voluntary. You will not receive financial compensation for your Submission or its inclusion in any Pixelle artwork or related materials.

10. Modifications

Pixelle reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

Pixelle is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the project or use of submitted content.

12. Termination

Pixelle reserves the right to remove submissions or suspend participation at any time if these Terms are violated or if necessary for the integrity of the project.

13. Governing Principles

These Terms are intended to govern participation in a global creative project. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable laws in the jurisdiction where Pixelle is operated.
