Investing in the Next Generation of Women in Sport
Pixelle Next is a community program dedicated to supporting young female athletes and helping remove the financial barriers that can prevent them from participating, competing and reaching their potential.
We believe every girl should have the opportunity to discover what she is capable of through sport — regardless of her family’s financial circumstances.
Through Pixelle Next, we will invest directly in young women in the communities where Pixelle operates.
The Program
Each year, Pixelle Next will provide bursaries to young female athletes in participating cities across Canada.
Bursaries will support athletes who demonstrate commitment to their sport, determination and a desire to continue developing both as athletes and as young women.
The program will welcome athletes from a broad range of sports and will intentionally support not only elite and high-performance athletes, but also dedicated young women who may not otherwise qualify for traditional athletic scholarships.
What the Bursary Can Support
Recipients may use their bursary toward expenses such as:
- Sport registration and membership fees
- Equipment and uniforms
- Coaching and training
- Competition and tournament fees
- Travel and accommodation
- Camps and development programs
- Other sport-related expenses
The goal is simple: help girls stay in sport, progress in their sport and have the opportunity to reach their potential.
Who Can Apply
Pixelle Next would be open to young female athletes who:
- Live in a participating Pixelle community
- Are actively involved in an organized sport
- Demonstrate commitment and dedication to their sport
- Can identify a financial barrier that the bursary would help address
- Demonstrate values such as perseverance, leadership, teamwork or community involvement
Pixelle Next would intentionally consider athletes at different stages of their sporting journeys. Athletic performance would be one factor, but it would not be the sole measure of merit.
Local Impact
Pixelle Next will be built around the communities where Pixelle operates.
Each participating city will receive an annual allocation of bursary funding, allowing Pixelle to directly support young women within those communities.
This local approach allows us to celebrate the achievements and stories of athletes who live, train and compete in the same communities as our customers, employees and partners.
Beyond the Bursary
Pixelle Next has the potential to grow beyond financial support.
Over time, the program could create opportunities for recipients to:
- Meet and learn from female athletes and leaders
- Participate in mentorship opportunities
- Attend Pixelle community events
- Connect with other young women in sport
- Share their stories and inspire the next generation
Our ambition is to create a community around Pixelle Next — one that encourages girls to participate, compete, lead and believe in themselves.

Sport can change the trajectory of a young woman’s life.
It builds confidence, resilience, discipline, friendships and leadership. Yet financial barriers continue to cause girls to reduce or leave their participation in sport.
