Why Bring Pixelle to Your School?
Sport can play a powerful role in a young person’s development. It can build confidence, foster friendships, teach resilience, encourage teamwork, and open doors to new opportunities.
Pixelle invites students to reflect on their own experiences and recognize the moments, people, and sports that have helped shape their lives. It also helps them see how their individual stories connect to a much larger community of girls and women in sport.
By participating, students can:
- Celebrate their personal sporting journey.
- Reflect on how sport has influenced their lives.
- See their experiences represented in a public art project.
- Connect their story with those of girls and women around the world.
- Contribute to a collective celebration of women in sport.
- Be inspired by the journeys of professional female athletes.
Most importantly, Pixelle reminds students that professional athletes were once beginners Too.
Why Childhood Sports Photos Matter
We often see professional athletes at the highest points of their careers—competing in packed stadiums, standing on podiums, breaking records, and inspiring audiences around the world.
Pixelle asks us to look back at where those journeys began.
Behind every accomplished athlete is a first practice, first competition, first team, first coach, or first moment when they discovered how much they loved sport.
By bringing these early sporting memories together, Pixelle creates a powerful visual connection between the girls they once were and the women they became.
A first step can lead anywhere.
A Voluntary and Meaningful Experience
Participation in Pixelle is completely voluntary. For students under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before a photograph or story is submitted.
Submitted photographs and stories may be used to create, exhibit, and share the Pixelle project, including as part of the giant urban portrait, exhibitions, events, digital platforms, social media, and project-related, marketing and communications.
Parents and guardians should review the full Pixelle Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before participating, including information about consent and how photographs and stories may be used.

Help Build the Bigger Picture
Every photograph represents a beginning. Every story represents a journey. Together, they create something bigger—a collective celebration of girls, women, and the transformative power of sport.
This back-to-school season, bring Pixelle to your school and give students the opportunity to celebrate where their sporting journey began while becoming part of a giant urban art installation celebrating women in sport.
The First Pixelle Installation Is Coming to Montreal
The first Pixelle installation will be unveiled in Montreal, bringing together the stories and sporting memories of girls and women to create a one-of-a-kind public artwork. The location and featured professional female athlete will be revealed in the coming months.
One photo. One story. One Pixelle at a time.
